Hace una semana se celebró Bonfire Night (tambien conocido como Cracker Night), la noche de las hogueras, en Reino Unido. Conmemora el fracaso de la conspiración de la pólvora del 5 de noviembre de 1605, en el que una facción de católicos intentaron destruir la sede del parlamento en Londres (el Palacio de Westminster). Hoy en día, se celebra con espectáculos pirotécnicos, fuegos artificiales (fireworks) y la quema de hogueras (bonfires). ¿A que no sabíais que la palabra fire tenía muchos más usos?
