Here’s a lovely little video about the history of Valentine’s day. We recommend subtitles with this one, as the language is a little tricky at times! (just click on the icon next to the clock in the bottom right hand corner of the video)
Esta semana nuestros alumnos han aprendido una de las historias sobre el día de San Valentín, aquí os la dejamos ¡a ver qué os parece!
Valentine’s Day Traditions
Valentine’s Day is on 14th February.
On Valentine’s Day people give cards and presents to the people they love.
Typical presents are chocolate, candy, flowers and teddy bears.
Popular symbols of Valentine’s Day are hearts, roses, lovebirds and cupid.
In Finland, 14th February isn’t a day of love – it’s a day for friends!
It’s Valentine’s Day this Saturday, so we thought that this week we’d share this lovely craft with you – a traditional Valentine’s card with a modern twist (of yarn!).
